Using the Title Architect in your Company Name

If you want to use architect in the name of a limited company or a limited liability partnership (LLP), you can only do so with our permission. We are then able to make sure that there is at least one registered architect at the new company or partnership who will be responsible for any architectural work done. It is in clients’ interests that the architects are clearly identified.

You will need to fill in a Rule 20 Declaration form to get our permission. You can either email your filled-in form to professionalstandards@arb.org.uk or post it to us at 8 Weymouth Street, London, W1W 5BU. We will then send you a letter which you can submit to Companies House.
